Studio Hire is subject to the Terms and Conditions set out below. Please ensure you have read them before discussing Studio Hire with Blue Dog Studios.  By requesting to hire the Studio you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Studio Hire Fees:

£299.00 full day (consecutive 8 hour period)
£175.00 Half day (strictly four hours)
£50.00 Per hour (minimum two-hour booking)
Overtime will be charged at £50.00 per hour
Colorama (use of stock colours- check availability): £10.00 per metre.
Equipment hire list and charges on request.
Please note that all fees and prices are exclusive of VAT.

“the Client” means any person or organisation dealing with the Studio or any servant, employee or subcontractor of such person or organisation;
“you” means the Client
“the Hirer” means the client
“the Equipment/Equipment” means all fixtures and fittings existing in or provided by the Studio including lighting, polyboards and coloramas, backgrounds, props, etc;
“the Studio” means the hire studio located at Blue Dog Studios premises and associated car parking/loading/storage and preparation areas;
“us/we/our” means Blue Dog Studios and its Directors;
"the Hire Period" means the period for which the equipment or studio is hired. Each day is calculated on an 8 hour period from the time at which the Studio or Equipment is hired. Part of a day will be considered to be a full day for the purpose of calculating the Equipment hire charge.

Hire fees:
The basic hourly rates for studio hire are as shown on the website and /or as agreed with the Studio owner. The client must include set up and take down time within the Hire Period, to avoid overtime charges.  Blue Dog Studios reserves the right to amend Hire Fees from time to time without notice.
A deposit of 50% of the total hire fee must be paid at the time of booking or at least one month before the hire date, whichever is later.  The booking must be confirmed and the balance paid at least 7 days before the Hire Period commences.
Confirmation of Booking:
Any booking must be confirmed at least 7 days before the hire period commences.  We reserve the right to withdraw first options in favour of clients who are able to confirm.
Blue Dog Studios will not be bound by any contract until the booking is confirmed and paid for in full.
Cancelled confirmed bookings will be charged at 50% total Hire fee. Any confirmed bookings cancelled less than 3 working days of intended date of the Hire Period will be charged at 100% total Hire fee.
Any booking postponed (i.e. simultaneously delayed and rebooked) within 7 days of commencement of the Hire Period will be charged at 25% of the Hire fee, the balance will be added to the Client’s account.  Any booking postponed within 3 days of commencement will be charged at 75% of the Hire Fee.
Studio Premises:
The Client shall be responsible for all or any costs or expenses incurred by us as a result of any damage by the Client to the fabric or contents (including furniture) of the Studio premises. The Client agrees to keep the Studio locked when unoccupied during or at the end of the hire period and further agrees to indemnify the Studio against any theft of our Equipment whilst in the Client’s care.  No alterations, decorations or additions to the Studio are permitted without our prior consent. In any event at the end of the Hire Period, the Studio must be surrendered in the same condition that it was in at the start of the Hire Period.
Client materials:
Unless otherwise agreed with us, materials used in connection with sets and props constructed by the Client and all other Client equipment are to be collected and removed from the Studio premises at the end of the Hire Period and at the expense of the Client. If they are not collected by this time, we reserve the right to dispose of and recharge any costs associated with so doing. A storage charge may also be incurred for each day the Client materials remain on our premises.
Any Equipment lost, damaged or stolen will be charged to the Client at its full replacement cost. The Client may not remove any Equipment from the Studio premises and all Equipment must be returned promptly at the end of the Hire Period and in good condition. If the Client has any special requirements for equipment or lighting, please inform us at the time of booking and we will use our reasonable endeavors to make provision for these and inform the Client of any additional charges.  Any special requirements must be paid for even if the Client cancels/postpones the booking.  Any breakdown or unsatisfactory working of any Equipment must be immediately notified to us. Under no circumstances must you repair or attempt to repair the Equipment unless authorised by Blue Dog Studios. The Equipment must not be taken from the premises. You must notify Blue Dog Studios immediately if the Equipment is involved in any accident resulting in damage to the Equipment or to other property, or injury to any person.  If the Equipment is defective, you must notify us immediately and if the defect has not been caused by anything you have done or failed to do we will (at our option):  1. Replace it as soon as reasonably possible, or  2. Not charge you for the hire charges of the defective Equipment.  It is your responsibility to make sure that all the people who use the Equipment are properly instructed in its safe and correct use & that you have requested & received adequate instruction on its safe and correct use. You must ensure that the Equipment is not misused, and that supervision is adequate at all times.  It is your responsibility to ensure that the Equipment is suitable for the purpose for which you intend to use it and will give us sufficient information to ensure that the Equipment supplied is suitable.  It is your responsibility for the Equipment & it begins when you or your agent receive the Equipment or enter the Studio during/prior to/following the Hire Period. Your responsibilities include safe keeping of the Equipment and protection against the elements or theft, vandalism or improper use. You must not permit untrained or unauthorized use of the equipment.  You are responsible for the return of the Equipment. You must not sell or otherwise part with control of the equipment.  Equipment lost, stolen or damaged while in the Hirer's possession will be the entire responsibility of the Hirer.   Any items not returned from hire, such as cables, sync leads, etc. will automatically be charged to the Hirer's invoice at the full current replacement cost.  You will not remove, deface or cover up our name plate or mark on the Equipment indicating that it is our property or damage or deface the studio premises in any way.  Acceptance of the Equipment by the Hirer or his agent signifies the total acceptance of these terms and conditions for hire and excludes any terms and conditions you may have put forward except where we have agreed to any amendments or other conditions in writing.  All goods are advertised subject to availability.  The Hirer is liable for any damage arising from breakage of flash tubes and/or bulbs, valves, transistors, capacitors or integrated circuits.    Hire Equipment remains the property of Blue Dog Studios at all times and must not be pledged, loaned, deposited or sold to a third party.  Blue Dog Studios cannot be held liable for any disruptions to your shoot caused by a third party, electrical failure or act of God, nor can we be liable for any loss or damage to any personal equipment or items whilst hiring the Studio.   Blue Dog Studios reserves the right to change both the prices and the Equipment available for hire without prior notice.   Blue Dog Studios will not be liable for any delays caused by any circumstances beyond our control.  Blue Dog Studios will not be liable for any indirect loss, loss of business profits, savings you expect to make, wasted money, wages, fees, travel or expenses due to unsuitability, breakdown or stoppage of the Equipment or any part of it.
Minors are the entire responsibility of the Client and must be carefully chaperoned and monitored while on Blue Dog Studios’ premises including the Studio.  The client must ensure that all persons under the age of 18 have parents’ or guardian’s permission to be at the Studio, for the purposes of the photography or filming, during the Hire Period and for any purposes while on Blue Dog Studios’ premises.
Save in respect of anything which cannot be excluded by Statute, neither the Directors, their agents nor the Studio/Blue Dog Studios takes responsibility for any loss or damages including consequential or sub-consequential loss suffered by the Client, caused by, or arising from its use of the Studio or any Equipment. All equipment and valuables brought on to the Studio premises by the Client shall be at the Client’s own risk. It is in the Client’s best interests to make sure that they have sufficient insurance to cover themselves and their equipment and personnel. The Client must ensure that his own public liability insurance is operative for all persons in the studio during the hours of use, to cover any accident, injury or death.
The Client agrees to indemnify BLUE DOG STUDIOS against any and every expense, liability, financial loss, claim or proceedings whatsoever, and in respect of any death or personal injury whatsoever and howsoever caused arising out of the Client’s use of the Equipment or the Studio. 

Limitation on our liability
Total liability for any claim against Blue Dog Studios in connection with the hire of the studio or equipment shall be limited to the price paid for the hire period.

These Terms and Conditions shall be read and construed in accordance with English Law.
